Katie RothPorticoHR opened in January of 2005 by Katie Roth, SPHR. The company was first known as @WORK Personnel Services.

Katie has a long and distinguished career in the staffing industry including over ten years as an area manager for a national staffing firm.

Prior to opening PorticoHR, Katie was Vice President and a Partner of Merit Resources, Inc., a Professional Employer Organization located in Urbandale. She was a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2001.

Katie is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society of Human Resource Management. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa.

She is active in the community serving on the Board of Homesteaders Life Co., a volunteer for the Greater Des Moines Partnership; and serves on the Program Committee for the Central Iowa Society for Human Resource Management. She serves on the State SHRM Council as Director of Professional Development. Katie is past President of the Rotary Club of West Des Moines, past Board member of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, and has served on various non-profit boards.
